Junior Firefighter Program Liability and Safety
Thousands of fire departments nationwide have junior firefighter programs, which allow teens to serve their community while learning about the fire service. These programs serve as an excellent recruitment tool for departments. However, departments are continually faced with keeping junior firefighters safe and following all state, national, and local laws, while allowing them training opportunities to prepare them to be future firefighters. This course reviews the five steps for managing the unknown and reducing liablity while providing youth with a a safe, fun, and educational experience.
