Our client is a highly reputable leader in the global pharmaceutical and health care industry. Producing well known household brands in consumer health care, they also are leaders in vaccines and pharmaceuticals. As a First Line Leader on Night Shift in the operations department, you will be accountable for ensuring you have a successful team (up to 20 per shift) of manufacturing/packaging operators that can maximise output efficiency’s through the application of process adherence and continuous improvements, to minimise defects, waste and accidents.

You are responsible for motivating, training and mentoring your team to achieve a high level of safety, compliance and output. You will be able to implement new strategies to develop performance of both people and process management and engage staff with a set of directives/ KPI’s.

As a dynamic and business minded individual with a strong desire to achieve, you understand that success comes from a strong team working towards a common goal. You will enjoy mentoring, whilst also being able to understand processes, procedures and machine operation.

The role will require an ability to work collaboratively with multiple departments and shifts involved in the process, so working on other shifts may be required from time to time.

Qualifications and Experience Required:

  • Tertiary Qualification in Engineering, Science (including science related disciplines) or Business.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
  • General Leadership Experience – Lead, Coach, Drive Performance
  • FMCG or Pharmaceutical experience of 5 years.
  • Working knowledge of GMP
  • Demonstrated operational improvement initiatives
  • Knowledge of Liquid and Solid dose manufacturing
  • Working knowledge of Six Sigma or Lean methodologies.
