About our staff
Joyce Anderson is a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor specializing in individual, groups, and family therapy with Substance Abuse.
With over sixteen years experience as a substance abuse clinician, and as a graduate of Johnson State College specializing in Psychology, she brings with her experience and knowledge in all areas of the addiction field. She has worked in an inpatient facility for ten years, outpatient facility for four years and with students in a school setting for five years. Her combination of the different milieus gives her the versatility of working with many individuals that are having substance abuse issues. She is currently serving as private practitioner working with a broad spectrum of clients.
In addition to being a prominent clinical therapist, Joyce has taught classes at the New England School of Addiction Studies now for seven years.
Joyce is an interactive, solution-focused therapist. Her therapeutic approach is to provide support and practical feedback to help clients effectively address personal life challenges. She integrates complementary methodologies and techniques to offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each client. With compassion and understanding, she works with each individual to help them build on their strengths and attain the personal growth they are committed to accomplishing.

Christopher Chadwick is a Licensed Behavioral therapist and an Accredited Forensic Specialist in Forensic Counseling, specializing in individual, couples and family therapy, and maintains a private practice in Rutland, VT.
Christopher has over 15 years of experience in the social services field including complex multi-faceted therapy, law enforcement, Drug Courts and experience working within the prison system. He is a graduate of Norwich University with a Masters Degree, and he is currently serving as private practitioner working with a broad spectrum of clients. Among his areas of expertise are criminal justice involved consumers, offender community re-integration, mental health, substance abuse, anger management, family systems, DUI / DWI Cases, domestic violence, criminal offender and victim services.

Rebecca Day is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who specialized in trauma and play therapy.
She completed her undergraduate degree at Eckerd College in St. Petersburg Florida and received her Masters of Social Work from the University of South Florida.
Rebecca conducted her field work with refugees and survivors of political torture.
Additionally, she has traveled extensively and most recent created a counseling center for 350 students at a rural school in Nepal. As a result, Rebecca has a unique perspective and cultural sensitivity for individuals of all cultural backgrounds. She has presented at national conferences in Florida on the impacts of trauma as well as conducted a research study with refugee youth on the impact of acculturation.
Rebecca has also worked with youth in the juvenile justice and child welfare system and transitional youth experiences challenges due to their school to work transition.
She has worked with children, adolescents, adults, families and groups. Rebecca utilizes motivational interviewing, play therapy, eye- movement desensitization reprocessing (EMDR), and solution focused interventions
Steve comes to FCCS with extensive counseling experience. After earning his Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology at Castleton State University in 1972 and a Master’s Degree in counseling from St. Michael’s College in 1980, Steve has worked in a variety of clinical settings.
He works with adults only but offers individual, groups and couples therapy for clients coping with substance abuse and / or mental health issues. Steve is a certified and licensed clinician.

Shannon Monty is a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor specializing in individual, groups, and family therapy with dealing with substance abuse issues. With over five years of experience in the substance abuse filed, and as a graduate of the College of St. Joseph with a Master s Degree in Alcohol and Substance Abuse Counseling, she helps families transition into recovery and improve the quality of their lives.
